Hyperlite Baseline vs Jam Wakeboard Review

Hyperlite Baseline Vs Jam Wakeboard

In these 2022 Baseline and Jam wakeboards, one can find differences that challenge the traditional wakeboarding practices. The smoothness, precision, and water flow management in and out of wakes are opposite in both models. Let’s take a look at them.

Hyperlite 2022 Baseline Wakeboard

With an out-of-the-box structure, more wakeboards are created that cover all the skill levels of a wakeboarder. This Hyperlite 2022 Baseline board has a smaller tip but a thick tail that helps maintain stability without decreasing speed.

Key Features

  • Build Quality
One of the main features of this board is the Biolite-3 Core that enhances the structure of this product. Also, the monocoque construction joins the bottom glass and the top glass in a single one, giving endurance and versatility for wakeboarders of all skill levels.
  • Design
The key of a complementary design is the continuous rocker, which manages the amount of water without producing excessive drag during tricks and transitions. The variable edge design, a wider board profile, and dual fin positioning make the board really comfortable but capable of high-end performance. The glass texture of grey and black, and the high-contrast of black and blue on the other side, give an updated identity to a unique but outstanding wakeboard.
  • Bindings
Regarding the bindings, Hyperlite “Baseline” has the M6 inserts feature. However, we recommend using bindings compatible with the board’s stance ranges.

Pros

  • Available on Fuller Tip Shape (smaller tip-thick tail).
  • Continuous rocker.
  • Biolite-3 core.
  • Wider profile.
  • Single tunnel with complete exit.
  • Variable edge design.
  • Double fin positioning.
  • M6 inserts.

Hyperlite 2021 Baseline Wakeboard

With an out-of-the-box structure, Shaun Murray & Greg Nelson created one of the few boards that cover all the skill levels of a wakeboarder. This board has a smaller tip but a thick tail that helps to maintain stability without decreasing speed.

Hyperlite Jam Wakeboard 2022

This model has a thinner build and design but with all the required endurance for a demanding wakeboarding season. The Paulownia wood core and the sintered base are the keys to keeping the particles really close. Impacts and rough movements won’t cause trouble for wakeboarders with an intermediate or advanced skill level. The continuous rocker guarantees correct acceleration through wakes without sacrificing control and smoothness. The urethane sidewall offers consistent management of impact during maneuvers. Curved edge channels help manage the water flow through wakes, and the Balanced Bi-Axial Fiberglass Lay-up enhances the board build.

Final thoughts / Conclusion

“Baseline” and “Jam” are almost even in quality and endurance during transitions and performing tricks. “Baseline” has a one-of-a-kind structure and design. The Biolite-3 core has a smaller tip and a thick tail. All the special qualities of this board give an excellent opportunity of learning for all the beginners in wakeboarding. “Jam” is built to last; there is no doubt about it. The Paulownia core, the sintered base, and the urethane sidewall are combined in a strong but flexible board. “Baseline” price is much lower than the price of “Jam,” and with all the qualities of “Baseline,” we are inclined to it.
