Hyperlite Lunchtray Wakeboard Review

Hyperlite Lunchtray Wakeboard Review

The Lunchtray is part of the 2021 Hyperlite Leduc Collection, along with the System low back binding and the Relapse boots. But one can also find it within the 2021 Hyperlite Cable Collection next to another five boards, two binding systems, a pair of boots, and a variety of awesome jackets. Hyperlite Lunchtray 2021 Wakeboard is shaped by Aaron Stumpf, the creator of Hyperlite’s wakeboards. He has a master’s experience designing wakeboards for riders of all levels, including children. He worked with Nick Deluc to bring one of the most amazing wakeboards for cable riding in this opportunity.

Hyperlite Lunchtray Wakeboard 2021

The Lunchtray 2021 comes in two sizes, and it has a continuous rocker banded with Urethane sidewalls; its flex zone into tip and tail allows you to press away while the flex maintains flawless and a boosted board pop. It is becoming one of the favorite wakeboards at the cable park.

Key Features

  • Build Quality
The Lunchtray has an Airstick machined wood core; it begins with a natural Paulownia wood core, raised without steroids or antibiotics. Hyperlite’s engineers take this first wooden core and machine it to a perfect balance, then they remove all the leftover material from tip to tail, and there you get the lightest wooden core in the industry. This board has molded Urethane sidewalls bonded to top and base laminates for a perfect union, and they give maximum flex to the ride.
  • Design
The Lunchtray was designed with a continuous rocker line that gives the wakeboard a consistent and predictable pop off the wake. It is fast and fluid. It is made to increase and maintain the speed in catch-free transitions. Its minimal drag generates a longer trajectory to jump right into the trick. This board is flat and stiff in the middle but flexible on the tips as it has articulated tip and tail flex zones. You can have a solid press over an obstacle but smooth and fast over the water. The Lunchtray wakeboard has a single concave base design and a variable edge bevel with a balanced bi-axial fiberglass layup. This is a professional wakeboard to improve your skills. Very visually attractive wakeboard, it has one classic black, white, red, and blue illustration over the white background on the base, and another different black, blue, red, and yellow classic graphic over the black background on top.
  • Bindings
This wakeboard is compatible with all Hyperlite’s bindings, but Nick Deluc’s recommendation is to use the System low back binding with the Relapse boots. Lightness is what he’s been looking for with these chosen options. The System low back binding comes in two sizes (6-9 and 10-13) and gives the rider extra freedom and flexibility. It has a new cushy seamless ankle strap, and it’s the favorite for cable riders. This is the true connection to the wakeboard with the maximum edge control. Relapse bindings come in sizes from 7-13 US. This year, they have been enhanced with the new Eva heel impact protection, making them soft and reliable. The Relapse 2021 are lighter, better, and stronger, and they play perfectly with the System low back binding; this is a lightweight feel and maximum comfort to practice.

Pros

  • Light and flexible.
  • Strong and durable.
  • Fast and fluid.
