Virago Wakeboard is Anna Nikstad’s first-ever pro model. After many prototypes, she and the Liquid Force’s design team have come up with her dream board. She’s been a professional skier since 2014, but for 2020 she has created a wakeboard, especially for women to upgrade their skiing abilities. Build Quality
The 2020 Virago has a split-core, but the board is completely made from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certificate wood, which means this is an ecologically sustainable wakeboard, being light and soft over the water. It also has an LF Sintered Grind Base, which provides endurance. Its Triax Glass Layup means strength and flexibility: torsional rigidity and longitudinal flex. Additionally, it features an aggressive continuous rocker, an ideal option for fluency in transitions and long trajectory arcs.

Design
This is a finless wakeboard, full rounded thumb tail shape. The Virago has a triple concave with V tip channels that go down from tip to tail, making the push-off easier. It has beveled LiquidRail tip to tail sidewalls, which gives a good grip over the water. It is thin in the borders but thicker in the middle, offering flexibility but keeping it stable. It has a slide but grinded base for smoothness while surfing. And that gentle flex within the board allows those beautiful illustrations to look amazingly attractive: a big girly mouth with a golden tooth and an inked low lip and black, white, yellow, brown colors all playing to deliver a really cool wakeboard.

Bindings
The Virago is designed with LF Flextrack, a reinforced Flextrack glass that spins and bends as the rider moves, allowing full and free stance customization. This wakeboard is compatible with all bindings, but the Liquid Force’s 4D is recommended for best comfort since it has the softest footbed while giving a major response. They have good drainage holes for water’s better fluency, a 45° angle attachment increasing leverage for better board response, and a honeycomb flex floor for high impact landings. These bindings are unique from Liquid Force’s engineering.

The Liquid Force Virago Wakeboard is an excellent instrument to improve wakeboarding skills, from beginners, intermediate, advanced to expert riders. Even when it is for women, Anna herself has said that anybody can benefit from the features of this board while maintaining the height and weight ranges. It offers a high board response: strength and security to surf. It has been made of certified wood, making it environmentally responsible; Nikstad’s lovely initiative.
